OCAS Membership

If you would like to join our vibrant Society and think that you fulfil the Membership requirements, currently set as having been an alumnus/a, past faculty member or past researcher for more than three academic terms of residential study or teaching / research activity behind you at either University, we invite you to complete the Membership Application Form via the link below on this page. Once your eligibility is confirmed by the universities and other third-party sources, your membership application will be submitted for approval by the Society’s Committee. With your Membership approved (don’t worry, it’s quick!), you will initially become a Social Member and pay an acceptance fee, equivalent to a year’s Full Membership fee for that current year. This will entitle you to all benefits enjoyed by Full Members for your first year – you will be on our mailing list and receive all details of all events planned throughout the year, including those open only to Full and Lifetime Members, and you will have discounted entry to all those events which are paid for for both you and your first guest. After your first year is over, you will then have the option of continuing as a Full Member, paying an annual membership fee at the beginning of each year and enjoying up to 300 Kč discounts on event tickets for you and your first guest as well as invitations to a number of events throughout the year open only to Full and Life members, or reverting to being a Social Member, where you don’t pay an annual fee but are still invited to a limited number of paid events, paying a higher, undiscounted ticket price for you and all your guests. The annual OCAS Full Membership fees for the years 2024 and 2025 are 1000 Kč per year. If you are a current student, faculty member or researcher at Oxford or Cambridge, you and your first guest can also attend all paid OCAS events at the reduced, Full Member, rate without being a Full Member for as long as you remain a student/faculty member or researcher. Finally, if you love OCAS as much as we think you will, there is the option of becoming a Life Member for a one-off fee!

Initial requirements for becoming a Member of OCAS:

3 trimesters of completed continuous residential study at a constituent College, Residential Hall or Business School of either Oxford or Cambridge University or 3 trimesters of completed research or teaching activity at either university.
Approval of the completed and submitted OCAS Membership Application form by a majority of the current OCAS Committee.
Payment of an acceptance fee equivalent to one annual Full Membership fee (currently 1000 CZK)
